Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC)

2022, 2024

Illustration | Web Design

A chapter of the Government of Canada, the ESDC department wanted to establish a project called Equi’Vision, with the goal to "use the gaps identified by employers to uncover and address potential barriers in the workplace" (ESDC 2024). The project posed an interesting challenge of designing within the strict Government UI guidelines, while still creating a valuable and visually intriguing digital tool. I created multiple illustrations to use across the site and within the interface directly, with three additional images being added to scope later for general use around the department.

Morguard

2023

As a real estate company, Morguard owns multiple buildings that over time will have an environmental impact that is difficult to avoid. Attention to sustainability practices is essential in reducing the carbon footprint of their tenancy spaces, and so they run yearly campaigns that provide suggestions to be more environmentally conscious at work, and at home. To maintain visibility in a monthly recurring space, each year the illustrative style is completely reworked. Using a soft colour palette and illustrative styling to differentiate from the bright / cartoony character styles seen previous years, this project was a light and fun way to contribute to sustainability practices.

Accessible Student Persona Illustrations

Mohawk College Accessible Learning Services (ALS)

2022

As part of a conceptualized plan to promote the Mohawk ALS to students, this campaign identified created personas to help students discover if the services may be a good fit for their needs. To support the messaging, I was tasked with illustrating inclusive creative that represented the eight personas, so they could be used in digital and print advertising. Designed looking at the students through a window as though they are struggling in private, the images are also made with the intention that they can be displayed together or separately, as though viewed from the side of the building they all reside in.
